Ever notice your fan do this?

I was doing a oil change and monthly winter warm up. The bike was idling for 10 - 15 minutes and the fan comes on. I bring up the rev's a bit and the fan goes off. I've only had the fan come on, in the summer stopped in traffic. Now I guess there is not enough coolant circulation at a idle. The idle is about 850 RPM.

Sounds like normal operation to me, gets hot, fan comes on, cools off, fan shuts off.  ???  Hoser

Ain't nuttin wrong with it, it is normal.

Go start your car, pop the hood and wait a few minutes, same thing happens.

Go eat some refreshing ice cream, and relax.

The idle is not fast enough on any engine in any vehicle today.   Let them idle, and all the fans will come on for a few seconds........

We can be working on a running vehicle in the shop and the fan will pop on and off.

 If your fan comes on and goes off it's doing it's job. Just check the coolant in the tank, and you should be good.
It would seem kind of redundant to change the oil, let the bike run for 10 or 15 minutes, then shut it off  and sit for a month. I would think your doing more damage then good. By letting the bike run then shutting it off, and leaving it sit you create condensation. Then it just sits in the oil. I have never started the bike after I park it at the end of the season. I may be wrong on this thinking, and I understand everyone has their own ideas about this.

I have to agree with you 100% on the condensation issue.
Now that I hardly use my Valk.
Letting it sit for 2 or more weeks between uses.
Plenty of heat and humidity in my garage down here in Florida.
When starting now it always blows some white smoke for a bit out of both sides.
When used daily it never has or did.

As for the fans this bike when ideling for 5 or more minutes the fan has always come on.
My idle is set at 900 rpm.
Kicked it up to 1000 rpm and the fan comes on a bit later.
