Janet Napolitano told a House Committee on Homeland Security that the federal agency was "looking at drones that could be utilized to give us situational awareness in a large public safety [matter] or disaster," despite the fact that the agency had previously indicated it was reticent to use spy drones to keep tabs on the public.

Do you think these miniature drones used by DHS and "public safety" organizations will spawn a market and the reality of miniature Iron Dome missile systems to shoot them down?  No doubt those will be illegal once they exist.  As folks respond to such spying by Big Brother with shotguns, they will just fly them higher, out of duck gun range.
