Is there a simple way of testing a radiator fan on the bike? I was in some traffic today with the temp at 98 degrees, and I didn't hear the fan kick on. My legs were feeling the heat! I was wearing a half helmet ( because of the heat ) and didn't hear a thing!
Thanks for your help.....StLRider

Found this in the archives I haven't tried the process.

Remove and ground the temperature sender wire to the engine and see if the fan operates. If it does, you're likely okay. If it doesn't run further testing is in order.

The sender can also go south. I´ve had one, which i tested (airgun + digital thermometer). Needed more than 150 deg. Celsius to switch the ground.
