I want one.  Did you see those wing parachutes taking off from the ridgeline as that guy flew over.  I did that in France, its a blast!  Wow, so much better in a personal glider

I have always seen flying as an enjoyable thing to do, but more importantly to me, it is a fast mode of transportation from one place to another.  Besides, I like the noise and the assurance of arriving at a runway...Jim

Runway??
Take-offs are optional. Landings, however, are always mandatory and there ain't always a cushy paved runway to be assured of.

Pappy, I've been flying since '72 and have never had one quit on me yet except for running a tank dry when I knew that I had plenty in the other one.  Those Continentals & Lycomings are built pretty tough and they run at a low RPM.  Take care of your engine and it will take care of you...Jim

I looked it up on the net this morning, they want something like 82g's for that little thing, in its base model. Must be really special.

I hear ya' I grew up flying as my Dad always had a plane. Mom had her license and flew as well.  I remember punching holes in clouds in our Piper Tri Pacer in the keys when I was pretty small. Later Dad would let me fly the Bonanza....the one where the yoke was unlocked and swung over to the co pilot! That was a D model.
Got my license in '71 and still fly.  Have always made it as well but I have a buddy that has had a few "precautionary" landings in his 20,000 plus hours so far. Most as a ferry pilot but a few in planes he has owned or owns.
