Looting and Rioting over an armed gangmembers death WTF?

16 year old gangmember, armed in public, and firing at police was killed by the police with 7 bullets.  Instead of the community applauding the police for getting a dangerous armed person off the streets without any innocents being harmed, they're looting and rioting.   

They don't loot and riot in protest of the police doing nothing about innocent lives being lost (Chicago), they loot and riot when the police act appropriately and only the badguy gets what he deserves.

I've heard of upside down mortgages. Now and has been for awhile we have an upside down-well the gang bangers do-perception of whats right to them. I believe in their eyes the right killings are when they kill citizens and L E Os.  But as a large percentage of us know not a lot of right killings. Gang bangers would have been happier if their homey had gotten a L E O instead. RIDE SAFE.

Many may disagree but I think more should be shot. The ex-mayor of North Miami was just held up at gunpoint in an attempted auto theft. He told the would-be thief what he could do to himself and the kid left. It could have ended up badly for ex-mayor. I think it would have been nice if the mayor just blew the punk away.

I'm not sure I'm with you on how "nice" it is for anyone to get killed, regardless of the reason, but I do think an immediate solution is generally called for when one is confronted by an immediate problem. The ex-mayor apparently chose a very risky, but ultimately successful immediate solution which meant nobody had to die then and there, making it appropriate for that one circumstance. Had he pulled a gun and blown the kid away as an immediate solution that would have also been appropriate as it would have taken care of the immediate problem, albeit with a s&%tload more paperwork.

On the other hand, such solutions may not be quite as appropriate to deal with the long term issues that lead to such behavior. Lining people up and shooting them is appealing generally if you are the one deciding who gets lined up and shot but if someone else gets to make that call and they don't happen to like you, it may then become less of a solution and more of a problem, at least from the viewpoints of those with their backs to the wall.

 Here is my solution to gang bangers. Round them all up city by city. Put them in a big warehouse somewhere. Give them all the guns they want. Lock the door and let them have at it. Last one standing wins. That way the only deaths are those pieces of Chit lowlifes. No innocent people or cops get shot or die.

I would not shed a tear for any of these lowlifes. Just last night we had a murder in Ft Wayne. Some kid got shot while sitting in his car. His mom said he was not in a gang. Maybe, maybe not. If he was so be it. You live that kind of life and get killed. Oh well. Good riddence. May sound COLD. Dont care. I am tired of law abidding people taking the blame for this human garbage getting ahold of guns and killing people. I am tired of hearing "Oh we have to do something to stop this violence". Want to do something? Take out the gangs one way or another. Or take away the reason there are  gangs. DRUGS.

I wish I could ask the question I want to!!?? but I won't.   If a would have been killed we would have heard "not much". The general public believes its an officers job to die protecting its citizens. We were told in the academy that we are "expendable". and thats our job.

16 years old or 60 years old, how are y ou supposed to know that when your ass is being shot at!? Screw the perp, its me time. Good on the officers!

We don't need any more laws for drugs, for guns, for gang bangers or child molesters.

No more codling, no more political correctness, no more worrying about offending a race when you arrest one of their brothers.

ENFORCE THE LAWS WE HAVE!!  Put convicted thugs and bangers in prison for the full length of the term. (truth in sentencing). No plea bargains.
Build a wall parallel to the wall on the border of Mexico and put the thugs between. Some porta-potties, no a/c,no TV,no computers, no conjical visits. Fly some drones over the border/prison.

Sorry for the rant but I'm getting really disgusted by the direction this country is going.

 Before I retired from LE I got flamed (and I really didn't and still don't care) for being an advocate of the death penelty country wide, ALL STATES. No more than 14 days on death row after "conviction". With todays technology there is little mistake / error with the DNA process should it be needed to prove certain cases.

You take a life, you pay with yours  ie: rape, murder, CSC with a non consenting person, (etc) is what I'm talking about. Screw these types of people, they need to disappear. We don't need to support these types with our hard earned money, but we do and will continue to. Death row is loaded with people that were sentenced to death years ago. I have personal and professional experience with these types of instances. This is why I feel the way I do. Let the flame begin..  My buck and a quarter.

Now there's an idea. Same dollars doing 2 jobs. Having to run a gauntlet of rapists and murders will probably be even more incentive to not try and cross the border. And if any of the prisoners escape on the Mexican side .... Oh well.
