Just when the highway straightened out for a mile
And I was thinkin' I'd just cruise for a while
A fork in the road brought a new episode
Don't you know...

Conform, go crazy, or ride a motorcycle...

Skinhead

He should have followed up with a left hook.

I'd kick his ass as well.

Even as a kid being picked on at school,  I never took it even if it meant getting several detentions.  I could care less if they called me names like fatso, cookie roll,  fat dough, and on and on, I didn't care.  Once they touched me of any kind,  GAME ON!

I remember as an 8th grader my brother's class, all Seniors,  were a bunch of hoodlums.  The one jerk in his class,  Mr. tough guy,  slammed me in the hallway as hard as he could denting the locker pretty bad (a real good sucker punch coming up from behind unbeknown to me).  He left away laughing with his buds and I was so pissed.  I came up from behind with his buds nearby and totally pushed him will all my might into the plaster wall and took off running like heck.  They never did mess with me much after that although gang beatings on me did happen but NEVER again one on one.

Same way with football practice.  I was a sophomore tackle both ways and we recently joined schools with a much bigger school system as a co-op system.  The 2 stud senior lineman from that school, real hard asses, did not like outsiders fighting for their positions although back then,  sophomores never started on the line over juniors or seniors.  I got ganged up by those 2 all the time in practice  2 on 1 being driven into the ground so bad my high school teachers called me into the office to discuss child abuse since my arms were all black and blue for months thinking I was getting beat up on at home.  You couldn't even touch my forearms since was so sore and huge bumps sticking out all over.  One on one I was darn near their equal and they did not like it having outsiders from a much smaller school coming in trying to take their spot although I knew I would never start I did get about 1/2 the game playing time in on varsity level.  Football games were about the only thing I missed from high school, the rest was all drama.

I even beat up my best friend after playing tennis after he kept throwing his racket at me since he got upset I kept beating him 6-0 or 6-1 each set.  I told him don't do it and he tossed his racket at me hitting me with it and I jumped the net blooding his nose crying all the way home.  Like I said,  I didn't much care for high school days.

Saw that this morning on the news. Getting punched and humiliated in public was a well deserved consequence for the guy being a stupid dick. Getting his brains blown out might have been a little over the top, not to mention the guy doing the statue routine would have had some serious 'splaining to do regarding why he chose lethal force to counter a "wet willie" wielding jerk.

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.

You do understand that "they" are just waiting for us to put our guard down.   :-\

I don't doubt it for a minute, Ron. I'm just not always sure who "they" are, but I'm sure they don't always know themselves. Watching how our government functions (or fails to function actually) I'm not so worried about the ones who pretty well can't organize a trip to the grocery store. On the other hand, I'm a little more wary of the ones who CAN. I suppose I'm an incurable skeptic but I'm not convinced making the trains run on time is always a good thing.

Something along these lines, a few years ago at Mallory Square in Key West we happened to be in the right place at the right time. Some smuck tried to steal the money from one of the 'female statues' . She jumped off her perch and ran the moron down and beat the crap out of him. This all happened in a flash, she was quick, before anyone else could react. I believe everyone bought her drinks the rest of the night. It was great !
