I stayed through the politics and the religion.  I didn't like it but I stayed and tried to weed through it all to find a shred of the community that I thought I had joined.  Now I see that racism is going to be the next trend here.  Frankly, it makes me sick.  Is there no limit to some people's ignorance anger and hate?  Damn, pull your head out and go ride your bike!

Apparently not.

Adios.  I wish you improved health.   :)

I think this long winter colder than normal March is making us northerners a little stir crazy.  I'd gladly be out riding now if I could!  :cooldude:

Enlighten me what's going on in your head.... In my head I still hope they both suffer extreme agony and pain before they die and I hope its at the hands of their fellow prison inmates.

If you are referring to my post, I think you missed the point entirely, and just to be sure I didn't take away form a post about a ride to a Dairy Queen, I put in the subject line that it was not valk, but race related.  If you had read the post and the article/video that were referenced, you would see that my post was to generate opinions about why blacks scream racism when a white person attempts to discuss the problems associated with inner city minorities.  If you had taken the time to read those posts, you may have gotten some idea of why we are in the mess we are today.

Motorcycling is one of my passions, but it is not the only important thing in life.  I've said it many times before, "If you aren't interested in the subject of a post, Don't open it!".

Alien, I follow the board as much as anyone and have no idea where you are coming from

You have no idea how much it pains me to say I agree 100% with the prior posters
(Joe, Titan, Joe, MP)

Ok actually it dont pain me at all    :cooldude:

When a subgroup of the USA only chooses to focus on part of the problem
it then misses all of the solution,

Fact is the statistics do not lie in this case

If you dont like the statistics be a force for change in the black community

Assist in helping the folks to avoid all the things that make them feel they are being
victimized by their own behaviors

And while at it repeat the following mantra

BIG GOVERNMENT IS NOT MY DADDY, I MUST LIFT MYSELF UP LAWFULLY AND CONTRIBUTE TO MY COUNTRY MY FAMILY AND MYSELF AND SET AN EXAMPLE FOR MY CHILDREN

JMHO if everyone repeated this and lived it we would not be in the mess we are in today and could ride
Valkyries or whatever in peace

Smokinjoe and Oss, what exactly makes you think that I'm black?

Show me where I said you were black?

What I said is written above so re-read my post

Do you have a constructive thing to offer or for folks to think about?

I grew up and still work in a pretty impoverished area, whites, blacks,
carribean, hispanic, indian, oriental
kinda a melting pot

For years I have been saying a big problem  not race but it is the class barriers

You dont solve race problems with quotas or affirmative action especially when you have to go back 5 generations or more to find someone, anyone who owned a slave.

I believe you solve them by eliminating barriers, affirmative action

My opinion from 56 years on this earth dealing with people  You are entitled to yours so let us know what it is

I don't really know where Alien is coming from but I personally am getting extremely tired of liberals yelling "racists!' whenever someone makes a statement about a black person being an arsehole.

Whites don't have a monopoly on being arseholes and I can readily think of at least two prominent blacks that are arseholes in my book.

So, Alien, if you don't like what you see here, DON'T OPEN IT!

Just a blanket statement and my .002

Look at the statistics, if you don't like the statistics take it up with the bangers, rapers, thieves and murderers.  Those are the people to blame for those numbers.
When police want to catch a criminal they take statistics to help them find the criminal.  If the statistics point to a young black male it's a place to start.
If you don't like the profile, take it up with the people who perpetuate that statistic and perpetuate the stereotype.

There is enough arguing in the world, in the US in the VRCC over big and small things.  I for one cannot figure why we are arguing over nothing.

Is it that racism exists?  Dude, it has always existed and always will.  However, I would like to know what specifically transpired to draw the original comment (yes this is to the OP)

What makes me sick is when something bad happenes to a member of a race that is "under protection" all the "protectors" cry out HOW HORRIBLE it is and maximize the racism aspect and flat out ingnore facts and evidence if it leads away from their agenda, yet when the shoe is on the other foot and a "non protected" person is harmed.....SILENCE and one is called a racist for just noticing.

OK.....send the firey darts, im fairly fireproof these days.  You did start it, and from what I see have not supported your rant at all.......

I think we have a fine diverse bunch of folks here, even the ones that like and voted for a different guy than I did.  Arguments are good when they are backed up and they either stand or they fall........whats gonna happen with yours?

pitbull

I'm not getting involved in any argument here but just to let you know what it's like here in the UK. A buddy of mine was having words with a black guy and called him a "c**n". The black guy complained and my buddy was taken to court and fined £400 ($609) , and that was 10 years ago.

It's much worse now, I read that some people were ordered to take down the Union Jack from their homes because "it might offend some people".

Alien - would be nice if you would be specific on what got your knickers in a twist. Would like to think we are all adults here and most of us would probably like to become involved in a discussion about this.
As far as racism goes. I am of the belief that there is a trend of more reverse racism in this country of ours now than "normal" racism.

need to know what we're being called out as racists for, then we can address it.

I haven't even read through this whole thread but I'm gonna toss in my two cents.  This is a motorcycle forum, and should be mainly used to discuss motorcycles.  I am new here, but I have found it odd that half the posts are about other unrelated stuff.  I am a member of many forums, and most forums have strict rules about postings dealing with politics and religion.  Some don't allow it at all, and others have those threads in a special section called "Off Topic" since it isn't a topic related to our motorcycles.  I think it would be wise for whoever is running this forum to have an Off Topic section and we should post our off topic discussions there.  Sure, sometimes it's easy to see that a thread was created to rant about gun control or some other stuff, but other times it's not.  Putting religion and politics in their own section makes it easy for people to find or avoid those subjects if they choose.  I don't see why anyone would be opposed to having an Off Topic section, and it should be easy to implement.

Prez here although my trustie partner Willow administers this board I got an opinion, I would come here about once a month if we just talked Valks. Been on this board since before 2000 and most valk posts I've seen. I like posts about rides and adventures, mods, and stuff gettin' old.

I think daddyO what your thinking, you need to go to the tech board, this board is the VRCC board, we're kinda like family and like families we bicker. Here's the weird part for newbies someone in our family gots problems we gots their backs, don't find that on other forums.

I think you misunderstand me.  I don't mean that politics and religion shouldn't be discussed, I just suggested creating a section for it, like there is a section for classifieds.  We all use forks, knives, and spoons, but I think most of us put them in a drawer with sections.  It makes it easier to find what you are looking for.

Actually, Daddie O...no one is misunderstanding you. You want the non Valk stuff in a "non Valk stuff" area...you'd be outvoted about 100-1 if that was put to a vote. Most here like the set up as is.

As someone said, sometimes we fight and bicker, but when we come together for a common cause, such as at an Inzane Dinner/fundraiser, it's a beautiful thing to behold.

As a side note, I belong to a pretty cool Pontoon Boat forum. If they find out a person is a liberal in there, they are RUTHLESS...I kinda like it...lol....and that's coming from a EX-Democrat.
