Winter in SD

Well, temp came up to 53 today in SE SD. I could not stand it any longer.  Took the cover off the valk, hit the button and went for a ride.  Ahhhhhhhhh - NOW I remember why I love this bike.

East River huh? We go thru Vermillion, Yankton to Winner every yr. Love that area esp from Wagner to the river. Beatiful.

I lived in Vermillion and Yankton at the ripe age of 5 years old. I'd love to go back and visit the area to see what it's like. My sisters job was getting me to school during winter. she'd grab my hood strings on the parka and pull me along. Man that place was cold.

   I'm envious of anyone out there riding right now.  My Valk is "stuck" in my basement workshop where I do annual maintenance, clean, tinker, and make "improvements" all winter long.  To get her to the garage, I have to go across my front lawn, where there is still 3 to 12 inches of ice and snow.  Those Avon Cobra's do not provide much traction in those conditions.  Not so patiently waiting for warmer weather.
