 of actors I will NEVER spend money to see them or their movies. Jim Carrey came out this week denouncing gun owners and ridiculing a great man, a fine actor and past president of the NRA. Charlton Heston.  Basically he was going after a dead man. Real classy there Jim. Just like in Ace (or should I say ass) Ventura, Jim Carrey is talking out his ass......

You have a list like that too !? Good. That jerk just went on my list too. I thought he was a pretty decent guy after-all marrying a gal from my home town and all. But, this stunt did it. Screw him and the other liberal moron actors. If an actor wants to be a liberal, fine, but don't do things like this idiot just did. Most seem as though they can'r keep their mouths shut, much like me.

I can't help about the shape I'm in
I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to

I'm thinking many of us have such a list. For me instead of a bucket list its more like a toilet list. Things I would like to flush away. I find a lot of actors funny but not him, ever! And Charlton Heston being a great actor and the NRA spokes person supporting our rights is one of my favorites. Great westerns, Ten Commandments, on and on.
What a great day, lets ride!

It's generally not a good idea to get your political information and opinions from someone who makes their living talking out of their ass...

Never ask a geek 'Why?',just nod your head and slowly back away...

Well... that pretty much eliminates mainstream media.... :coolsmiley:

blue=3 times
green=at least 4 times
When they are all 'green'.. I'll stop counting.

What they are trying to get across is this.

They are talking out of their ass because their mouth knows better.  :evil:

Boy, If I decided to stop dealing with people who I thought had stupid opinions, I'd have to quit my job, stop going to church, stop seeing my friends, stay away from my family, keep the TV off, stay away from all movies, and stop frequenting this board.  I'm glad there's usually more to people than their stance on one issue.

Amen, I understand. I can deal with friends that I disagree with, maybe thats even why we get along well. It just seems to me that its easy for these rich actors to take a liberal stance. I just can't take what the likes of susan saradon, tim robbins ,etc and now jim carrey do or say. It doesn't make a difference at all, but, I just refuse to go watch any these 'activist's' movies. Kinda limits what I watch so I'm probably the only one hurt by this, but, I gotta take a stand.

I find it very hard to finance people that are actively attacking  me. Socializing with them is not a problem, but funding their activism it is beyond stupid.

I just got done switching banks away from BOA for the same reason. Some things are hard to avoid, but some are just too easy.

My kids think Jim Cary is funny. I do not share their opinion of him. Of course, I grew up in a time of great comedians. Red Skelton, Bill Cosby, George Carlin, Richard Pryor etc. I don't watch his movies at all. Now I have an even lower opinion of him.

The problem I have with Jim Carrey is no matter what he says, he thinks he is always funny and at least for me,   99% of the things he says are not funny and not a big fan of any of his movies.  Most are pretty stupid nit wit movies just like he is.

Jim Carrey has mildly funny moments in some of his roles... and he's a one trick pony!  He doesn't have much depth - most of his roles in movies are the same act. I've never thought of him as a huge movie star but more of a freak called in for a specific part in a movie.  Not well-rounded actor-  He'll NEVER, NEVER, NEVER be anywhere near the caliber actor  Chuck Heston was-  PERIOD!!

But look where society gets their celebrities now- Kardashians, Paris Hilton, Snookie, and about 10,000 other morons out there.

But what gets me pissed is when an over-paid actor gets full of themselves and decides to lecture US on how to live.... worse yet and, I think , way more dangerous - causing people to be mis-informed about the second amendment. Most actors are just over-paid monkeys paid to entertain us. I hate it when they lose sight of their place and dare to tell us "common people" how to live!!

When I first saw an interview with Ted Nugent many months ago where he said. "I judge a person's moral compass by how they relate to the second amendment"... I thought was a bit unusual...but the more I think about it, I've come to realize,  Uncle Ted was dead on.  Every elected official should explain what the second amendment means to them WHILE  they are running for office so we can understand where they come from.

The second amendment is critical to all the other amendments and a cornerstone of our basic rights/freedoms.

Jim Carrey is a low-life who's afraid of becoming irrelelvant now that his career is in a slump. This stunt bought him another 15 minutes of fame and he was able to trash gun owners in the process. Only in Hollywood that's considered a success.

It's not WHAT you ride....it's  THAT you ride!

Dead on about Jim C... Back in the late 80s and early 90s I ran nightclubs in San Antonio, Tx.  (Mid to higher class Gentleman's Clubs) Not my proudest moments, but fun.  Got to meet a lot of folks from TV and Sports. Every time the Spurs played at home... they, and some of the team that played them would filter into one of the clubs.
Jim Carrey came in to All Stars on eve with a few people in tow... They had a good time and we thought it was cool that we had him there until one of my waitresses asked him to sign a napkin for her... He told her it would cost $50.00 and was serious! Would not sign it!  We all thought that was plain wrong and he could see that a couple of us were talking about him. As they were leaving, instead of me shaking his hand and offering for him to have a good evening... I muttered "asshole" just loud enough for him to hear it.  He took a glance at me and kept walking.
I've got no respect for people like that.  He came from nothing and got a break.  Hope he goes back to the poverty he came from before stardom.

Sorry... long winded.

Ride fast and take chances... uh, I mean... ride safe folks.
