So did Charles Barkley.  He told parents to raise their own kids.  At the time he took grief, but now people are starting to see what he was saying.

And BTW, as wacked out as Rodman is, we was the best defender and rebounder in the league, consistently, and helped take the Bulls to all those champonships.

I think people need to stop blaming it all on the color and instead blame it on the government assistance programs that pay mothers more if they DON'T get married, and more if they have additional dependents.  We had a waitress that worked for us, and she was knocked up at age 17.  The day she turned 18, she walked out the door saying "I make more on welfare than I do working here!".   My wife and I saw her several years ago at the city pool, she had four kids, none of them "looked" related, and she was a bitch yelling at them constantly.

It's not that black men don't want to marry their pregnant girlfriends, it's that they can't afford losing all that additional money their kids would be getting.  

Case in point; I have a niece that had a kid from one guy, he shot himself to death and she was able to collect social security and welfare.  She met another guy, had three more kids with him but couldn't get married 'cause she'd loose the government assistance, so, since she never got married, she now has four kids that she can get assistance with!  I call her the social leach.  And she's my own flesh-n-blood relative.  Makes me sick that our government promotes this type of lifestyle, then creates another agency to "fix" the problem it created!!

there were very few black politicians around (if any) when welfare was enacted. when people go blaming a persons skin color or race for something a small group of idiots actions, that ticks me off.  i grew up with hearing how "all italians were in the mob" just because of that a$$ hole capone.  if you think you're going to "become" a racist for the actions for a few, then i think you have to realize, you already are a racist.....

true, absolutely true......  sadly, it is a human trait to not trust another unlike our own kind.  

i was watching an interview with Roddy McDowall when he played as Cornelius in the movie Planet of the Apes, and he observed that even when people were in costume and they went on break they would congregate to "their own kind".  gorillas got together with gorillas, orangutans hung out with the other orangutans, chimps with chimps.  really fascinating how we humans do that.  probably one reason why i love visiting my brothers in chicago, i feel like i "fit in" sort to speak. i don't feel like the only black man at the klan meeting, as i sometimes do here in eau claire. to tie this in with Valkyries and harleys, it's the same thing; unless you're "one of us, you don't belong"...... (wow, this can go in a lot of different directions  )  it's just sad that things are the way they are.  i wish everyone would be able to see how we treat each other, reguarless of race/color/religion/sex/etc...

i want people to just realize we're all capable of being just like the other guy.  a rich person is no better moraly than a poor person.  a muslim is no holier then a christian, you know what i mean.....  we're all flesh and blood, we all have dreams, we all have hopes for our children.  we're all the same.  no one group is better than the other, nor any worse.....

My reply wasn't blaming any color.  All I did was quote the numbers and then give my opinion (and the opinion of folks in the social services field) on the cause of those unusually high numbers. 

I agree with you 100% that it is the liberal policies that allow this to happen, and not just WHITE LIBERAL POLITICIANS.

But, should a lousy homelife or the liberal policies that perpetuate the problem a good enough reason to misbehave and do harm to other citizens minding their own business?
