You gotta' PM to Hotglue to get that.  He doesn't publish it on the forum and we respect his decision.  But he responds pretty quickly!

I, also, a CUB, am trying my best to  make the gig.
I am still in optical purgatory after eye surgery having to close one eye in order to drive (or ride) until I can get a new prescription.
Was to see my DR Tuesday for him to stick a temporary prism on a clear pair of glasses to get me by between now and a new prescription but he came down with the old chest infection but hopes to be in his office by 6:30 Friday morning to rig my glasses so I can try and make GOTF. If they don't call me by Thursday eve, he will be coming in and I will be his first patient. That will be cutting it close.
Hopefully, the temporary fix will work good enough that I can make the trip.
If i can't, being cheap will still pay off as I will only lose $75 on my prepaid room.

If I show at 20:00 what is the chance there will still be some food?
I have some scout fair set up I need to do friday afternoon and traffic is a challange.
Life goes on whether you are in it for the ride or not.

If you are talking about Gumbo on Friday.... chances are REAL good there will be food.....  with Gumbo..  ya just bring it back to a boil and add more stuff... :coolsmiley:  One of the best Cajun fixes is to bring it back to a boil... after adding some stock....  and poach a couple dozen eggs to make it go a bit farther!!!!!    Gumbo is 'what ya put in it... and what ya can add to it later!!!! :cooldude:

I was just wondering about the Saturday ride as well.  Perhaps Rocketman has some good u-turn routes we could take? :2funny:

Or a trip to Space Center!

I thought there was something in the original post(s) about a 9am ride but don't remember for sure.  I'll be riding down Saturday so want to ensure I make it on time for the ride..lol.

Sorry, I am leading a ride that leaves HG's at 9 am.  We will be meandering down to Surfside, stop for a light lunch/snack, fuel up at Buccees and head back. There will be a short detour to go down to the free beach for picture opportunities.
We don't want to fill up on lunch when we will have great BBQ waiting on us when we get back.

Remember, KSU at 9 am, fueled up and ready to go.

It's gonna be a great day for a ride.
