I just got my new to me 99 I/S. I absolutely love the bike but I hate the stock seat after being spoiled to my Ultimates with my backrest on my Standard. Will they interchange? I sure hope so because I felt pretty uncomfortable after 50 miles!   ;)

It can be done but its not a "plug and play"  you dont have the rear mount bracket on the IS that you need to secure the back of the rider seat and the  front of the passenger's.  But others have added that part to the IS

When  take the seat of the IS I might be able to rig it until I find some for her. :)

The driver's saddle will not.

More specifically, you can force it, but the nose of the Standard Ultimate saddle is not a fit for the Interstate tank.

Obviously the passenger backrest is very different.  The pillion will bolt right on.

Yeah the driver's saddle was what I was really wanting for now. I guess I'll just wait til I find some.
Thanks   :)
