Looking for a campground centrally located to all the great roads in the area. (dragon-moonshiner-devels triangle and brp. Coming up for the mermorial ride and staying in the area the following week. Looking for a base camp perferablly on lake, river or stream. someone recomended the simple life campground in robbinsville that would work just looking for other ideas. Also never rode anywhere in the area, so those sugestions are also welcome.    Thanks and see you in Corbin.

Life is like a hot bath. It feels good while you're in it, but the longer you stay in, the more wrinkled you get.

Some hiking friends of mine say Turkey Creek is the best in the area.

They also say the showers have really good pressure and BIG shower heads.

This is south of Deals Gap on Hwy 28 just north of Hwy 74. The road form Anrews NC to Bryson City NC.

In the middle of some great riding.

Once you make a campsite choice let us know so we can suggest roads to ride.

I've stayed here a few times. Your about an hour from the gap.But there's lots of great roads in the area of the campground.

Mr Whiskey

Not sure exactly what you're lookin' for. Elkmont has no hot water, but it does have some great spots on the creek.
I hear great things about Ironhorse. We plan to check it out this year. It's in a beautiful valley.
There's always............. http://www.dealsgap.com/motel.htm
They have campsites as well as the motel. This puts you right on the Dragon!
You can sit here for hours jus' lookin' at hundreds of bikes.
Holla, we'll go ride.
Peace, Whiskey.

10-4 on Iron Horse  :cooldude: Stayed there last summer for almost a week on the
way to Inzane. Great people, great food on a small creek, always something going on
and right in the middle of some great rides. You can't go wrong.
