Well, I tried to stop my bike in 24 feet when it needed 25, and I got a nicely creased front fender to show for it.  Now, what do I do?  I would like to replace it with one of the same year (2001), but I'm having a hard time locating one.  I could buy a used steel fender and have it repainted the blue and white colors of my 2001 Valk.  Or, I could check out one of those 'glass reinforced plastic fenders that are made in Poland that I noticed on Ebay.

Give me some guidance here.  For those of you who have been so unfortunate, what have you done to fix the damaged fender problem.

Thanks.

Most local body shops can fix it for $50-$100 + painting costs.
I ride a motorcycle because nothing transports me as quickly from where I am to who I am.

If you don't have your heart set on the OEM Valk fender, you could get one of those Fiberglass fenders and do what Collin did with his. Should even look good with your OEM Paint scheme.
IMHO, I think this came out Amazing!

Good used fenders are not that expensive, and there are some that will fit with very little mods. Check with Big Mike or Pinwall to see if they have a used good front. Otherwise, I would check with a body shop about repairs. Not a total tragity to me, just inconvient :cooldude:
