I think I saw that Bike at a MN Ride-In, and since it was the same color as mine I checked out the mileage on the speedo.   It was like 87 or 97,000 then.

The Ride-In I'm referencing was 3 years ago.

Slightly off topic, but in the US do you have to have a yearly inspection on your bikes.

In the UK we have to take our bikes and any other vehicles for a yearly inspection, if it passes we get a certificate which has the mileage printed on it. In France the inspection is every two years.

Varies by state & even by county & city.   Can be either emissions, safety, or both.
Thankfully, Knoxville, Tennessee has no vehicle inspections, but some of the larger population countys in TN do have some kind of emissions inspections I think.  Like Nashville & Memphis.

My Tourer has 109,000 miles on and looks like new. But I replaceg the seat, exhaust covers and windshield because of age and miles. The timing belt cover does show road wear.

Look for the shiny area behind the lower coolant pipe.

Checking the rotors will show 100K.

Bike looks clean enough to only have 4.8K.

There should be a law against cruel and unusual punishment of a beautiful bike.

That's an average of 303 miles per year.

The first year I had mine the inspection sticker ended up on the lower left fork leg.  To say I wasn't happy wuz puttin it mildly.  Went to a chopper shop for the next inspection and the sticker now resides on the fork neck behind the fairing and the L E Os can still see it by turning the bars to lock on either side.  And it's due with my tags every 2 years.  Or you can do it every year.  And i'm talking what we do in Missouri-NOT the other 49 states or Canada.  RIDE SAFE.

I don't really have any opinions one way or another on the bike. But if it is really that low mileage, I did the math and it comes out to:

300 miles per year ave
On a Tourer, that'd be about 2 tankfuls of gas per year.

That would indicate a LOT of stale gas sitting around in that tank(and carbs?) through those years.

Doesn't mean it's not worth looking in to. The test drive might indicate if that's the case or if RJ is correct.

RJ has never seen that Tourer at any Minnesota ride In,  I have not seen it or Know the rider from Eden Prairie who owns it.  T.P.

Bluing on OEM pipes is more likely the result of idling than of miles on the road.

Well at first glance I agree with RJ. I have never seen the bike but the old story about an odmeter that as been rolled over and numbers not being straight as some merit and that is very crooked. Looks like a nice ride and 100k wouldn't scare me just the price does a little. $5k would be a ggod price.
