This will just make it easier to get a miss trial and let bad people go free.

This may be an act of desperation.  We have on reliable information that it is becoming extremely dificult to set a jury in certain Cali counties, owning to the fact that such a large percentage of the populace have criminal records or other "situations" that disqualify them from jury duty.  The reasoning here may be that somebody is better than nobody.

Pitiful.

We trudge on.

Does this mean the current President can serve on a jury now?  LOL

Nice! Now we shall allow someone that has no understanding of our laws or court systems in general to decide someone's future? Then comes a possible language barrior...Might even have to have an interpreter or bi-lingual person to assist in the language problems in the courtroom to fit the jury's nationality.  So then maybe they may have an slight understanding of whats going on? Looks like more expense to me?
Someone has no idea of the ramifications in doing this. Another well thought out plan. Where do we get these people that are "supposed" to have our best interest at hand! I'm going to say that word..IDIOTS! Sure don't ever want to go to court in California.

Actually the concept of an accused being tried by a jury of HIS peers may be more often served with illegals, as many illegals are on trial for crimes.  Also, the criminal Defense bar will be happy as those jurors may likely be more ready to acquit, and in civil trials the Plaintiffs bar will like them for their willingness to give away deep-pocket money.  All inner city juries tend to lean in this manner, and is why I will not drive my car into DC, among other reasons. Of course this is a generalization and not always true.

Of course further legitimizing illegals in this manner is wrong.  I mean, If you know they are illegal, why are you not arresting and deporting them?

You really should try to get yourself appointed to a Cabinet post like
Emperor of Deportations or Czar of Protecting the Consitition from Imbeciles in Congress

I would second your nomination any day

Thanks for the vote of confidence Evan.  But after 18 years in DC working for the G, I reached the point where I really wanted to terminate a number of inept PC leaders, or terminate myself.... so I retired early and will never go back.   Sadly, the prospect of working with the absolute mess of idiots in DC likely puts off great numbers of qualified rational conservatives.  On the other hand, socialists love the place.

Actually, Jess, the bill specifies non-citizens who are in this country legally.  (emphasis added)

I did not read the article.

I guess I am an idiot for thinking CA would allow illegals on a jury.  I guess.
