Thanks for the warm welcome.  No pics yet, but the bike is a 99 orange/black standard. I'm brining it in from Alabama.

And I'm located right smack in the middle of the straightest roads in Texas.   Midland, TX.

Welcome.  You have the finest of all the valks.  The 99 orange/black std!  You might have guessed that is what I have also.  Look up the history of that bike.  Only 240 of this made, only that year, only that color combination.  Be prepared to hear things like "I ain't never seen a Harley that looks like that (orange)!  I always respond that you still haven't!  OR, you get the occasional @$$ that says something like Honda stole the Harley colors ( like they own orange).  Anyway, welcome to the insanity! I hadn't heard that.  I did speak to the seller this evening and he bought the bike in Kentucky and had planned on keeping it in is collection.  Put at 72, he is thinning out the heard.

Well, the seller has been paid, the bike is due to ship from Birmingham on Wednesday or Thursday and I hope to have it sitting in my garage by Sunday or Monday.

Rain Maker, don't get the wrong idea, I've been working on that little list of cars for quite some time.  The ones that I know I'll keep are the 69 Camaro, 72 GMC, 79 RX7 (my first new car) and the Z06.  The rest are just passing through.

I think I just figured something out. We ALL have the finest, the fastest, and the most desirable Valk of all the Valks ever made. And for some reason that makes perfect sense to me. (except maybe that shade of "active living facility" blue  )

Here's an update and a first pic of my "New to ME" Valk.  The bike arrived as scheduled last Friday morning and I must admit, it's a lot bigger than the pics on ebay.    So I mustered the courage and made a trip around the neighborhood.  All went well and the bike and I came back with out a scratch.

Sunday afternoon, I took the bike on a short 75 mile shake down cruise down some hot dusty and more or less deserted roads around here.  The bike ran flawlessly and I'm starting to get familiar with it.

I'll post more pics later if anyones interested.
