Ok, Let's be honest-Most miles round trip with sole purpose just to eat a meal.

I'm sure I'll get blown away by this, but what is the most miles you've ever traveled(on your bike, of course) just to eat a meal and return home-with no other intent involved.

Wife and I rode 400 miles round trip just to try Schwarz's Supper Club in St Anna, Wisconsin.

It was well worth the ride. I admit I wussed out and could only eat the King Cut of Prime Rib-at 22-24 oz.

My wife commented that they just chopped the head and tail off of the cow and threw the rest on my plate!

Maybe 200 miles one way for lunch a time or two......80-100 is common for breakfast.....but the one that sticks out the most was a 90 mile ride one way with it at 33 degrees and it sleeting on me for a chili burger....pre Gerbings.....

I went to  TX. From Topeka Ks. to eat BBQ.  A lot of other folks  also were there.  Seriously, the old guys RTE in Kansas goes anywhere from twenty to two or three hundred miles for lunch once a week, sometimes more than once.  Hoser.

On a whim during a 'Smoke Chasin' rally we did about 900 RT miles to Overland Park Kansas from Apple Valley,MN for Jack Stack BBQ.
Its worth a visit but not worth that trip!
Was a relatively easy run; straight down I 35. Super Slab all the way.

I try to treat food as a necessity, not a hobby, and rarely eat at restaurants anyway (about the only time I do is when riding/traveling and hungry).

For Timbr n Chilli's 'Q in da Woods' (I've attended 3 times, with #4 due in a few weeks), my round trip clocks in at about 1075 miles...  Sure, friends, lie tellin', tire kickin', are all part of the trip, but the star of the day is one of them famous Big AZZ Burgers

In the summer of 2011, I went from Mesa, AZ to Nova Scotia for lobster. It was my "Lobster Run". Total was 8650 round trip. In 28 days, there were stops along the way. Americade, Laconia to name a couple.

Wow, I feel like a piker with all that mileage. I think my longest run was to meet a special someone for lunch was about 330 r/t. Went from my place in Orlando, FL to Lake City, FL and back. Got home around 6:00pm, left around 8:00am. That was back before I met my present wife and was riding a '77 Wing full dresser. That old bike just hummed right along with nary a hiccup, averaged around 75 most of the way on the interstate and back.

Had a great meal and some quality time, but long distance romances weren't my forte. Still worth the ride just for the time spent together.

In 2008 I did a 525 mile round trip day run on my standard to hit Pie Town for a slice of pie, my very first visit... 

She had hit 60,000 on the odo on that return trip.

And I went with him!   Plus, I had to get from SW North Dakota to get to hoser!   1535 miles one way, according to mapquest.

At  inzane at Bellaire, Mi.  on Saturday night.... actually early Sunday morning, I came to the room and told FB that it was WAY to hot to go home to Texas........  So we decided to ride to Maine for lobster.... Sure was tasty!!!!  was a little over 1200 miles one way from Mi......  Then we headed home.

I went down the road several times for a big burger they have at a place called Hodge's Café, about a pound of burger. It's about 2 miles from my house, took me a little over an hour to get there.

To the Horny Toad Café in downtown Cranfills Gap, TX = 160 miles.

To Town Café in Forreston, TX = 175 miles.

Ah, a good day, that one. That's been a couple years back  Where *does* the time go?

For me it's close to 600 miles round trip to Hotglues...I typically end up working that weekend either on Friday or Sunday so I pop down for dinner and hello's to some fine folks, and then run home in the night. It's a nice run...

I once ran 1100 miles (each way) out to give the wife a kiss...she was visiting the parents and I had an extra day off with the weekend...

Last week I added Tn. and Ms. to my M/C states I've ridden in.  When I got to Horn Lake Ms. I wuz hungry and ate BUT that weren't the reason fer the ride.  The reason fer the ride wuz the RIDE.  Oh and B T W-it was only 433 miles on the round.  RIDE SAFE.

Everytime I head out it is for the ride.  Eating is just what I do to keep the stomach from growling.  I don't remember anytime that I have ridden, that I went just for the food.  Though there are several places on my normal 250-350 mile loops that I always stop at cause they have great food, lots of it and not to pricey.

She said come out and see our new place.    I replied, see ya Friday night and we will have lunch Saturday morning, then I'll head for home.     707 miles one way.

I've done a couple 1,000 mile runs for food also.     Did a Southshore Lake Tahoe with 2 buddies to Cheyenne, WY, 1003 miles one way.   Then I came on to Des Moines, 630 miles to visit with my Grandma Searles, then returned to CA to go on Patrol.   Last leg home was about 1650 miles.    2 day run.    PS:   This was before the super slab and on a Harley Hard tail.

Sometimes its an overnighter. Tam has a thing for motels and I support that every time I get a chance.

One of the last Oregon VRCC organized rides.  It was like herding cats to get people together!  I remember planning that ride to Camp 18.  Great people, food and location.
