Not too many people can say that they once had Dan Fogelberg in their backup band! Here is a rare clip from Don Kirshner's Rock Concert from early 1974 of Michael Stanley performing "Help" by The Beatles, which appeared on his 1973 album called "Friends and Legends". Dan's experience with this group of musicians lead to their involvement on his "Souvenirs" album later in 1974, and the rest is pure rock and roll history! So here are Michael Stanley and Dan Fogelberg with Joe Walsh, Joe Vitale, David Sanborn, Brian Garofalo, Paul Harris and Al Perkins....friends and legends, indeed!

My son's old GF's aunt was is the original Lynyrd Skynyrd band. I never got the chance to meet her, but I bet she had some stories to tell!
