Motorcycle lift

Looking to buy a table lift for the bikes, lawn mowers ect... Harbor Freight has the model 68892/69904 Reg price $ 699.99 on sale for $423.99 and Jun 7 8 9 will be $319.99. This is the 1000# capacity one. My question is does anyone have this, how do you like it, and is it worth buying? Or should I buy a different brand. Thanks Rick

rick, have it and love it. but i did modify it. i added wheel chock to the front of it in pla ce of the small plates used to hold the tire. i only wish the wife had ok'd the purchase of the air over hydrolics one, but like most money is often a consideration.

I've got the air over hydraulics bike lift, I bought it off Craig's List but, I'm pretty sure it's a Harbor Freight version.   When I incorrectly thought I was having an air motor issue, I got the identical parts I needed from HF.   I love the lift when I need it but, it sits in the way the majority of time gathering stuff just stacked on it.   Thinking it might be needing a new home, I simply don't use it enough to justify the loss of space.   

My son and I were mounting some new highway pegs on the Valkyrie the other day with the bike sitting on the lift.   Once we had them mounted, he said, "Dad, get on the bike and try them out for position."    So, I threw a leg over and mounted up.   We adjusted the pegs to my liking.   The next thing I knew, he had the control valve in his hand and said hang on.   Up we went with out any issues.    Now, the Valkyrie was wet (full of fuel) with 10 gallons, I'm guessing around 700 + lbs.   I'm no lightweight at 250 lbs.   So, I can testify, it will lift what it's supposed to lift but, as I said prevously, it takes up to much dang room for the amount of time I use it.   

Been looking for a way to use my two post car lift to lift the Valkyrie.  Once I find that attachement, the bike lift is gone.

I borrowed one to replace the clutch in my K1200lte and it worked great. I did use a jack under the front and always used the safety bar and tie downs as the LT and I together are over the weight limit. But it seem to function quite nicely.

Last week seems like HF advertise one for like $280, may want to research.  This is what I paid for mine a couple of years ago, found a coupon in a biking magazine. HF runs whole page adds in these.

I also put a larger clamp for the wheel.  It's the one from the 1200#- air/hydraulic model form HF.  This clamp will allow a 200 size tire in it, I backed my bike up in it for fork replacement once.

I did make larger table top for it (3/4" plywood) and my riding mower fits on it.  The ramp I use for the mower needs some "critiquing" but I only put the mower on it once, maybe twice, a year so it works for now.

It does take up room in the shop but with the bigger top it makes a good "height adjustable", portable work table (or in my case a junk collecting table).

Thanks for all the replies and good information. I went to my HF to check it out but they were temp sold out. Does the HF table have a spot on the back that drops out so you can get the tire out? I am also going to check on that yellow one that Tman 403 posted a picture of. Any other ones I should consider? Thanks again

Mine does, and believe me, your HF and our Princess Auto sell a lot of the same items with a different name on it.

Yes it does, but the Valkyrie has to be more forward than where the factory "stop" position is.
As I stated I put on a wheel clamp from a "air/hydralic" lift and positioned it a bit more forward for this reason.

I know WI is a tad north of Atlanta, but I just saw this add for a new Redline airlift table for half of retail.  A bit more money, but a cadilac table with all the bells and whistles.
