wide open customs fairings

I went to Panama City Florida 4000 a beach in, crossing vendorName wide open customs.  they make fairings for much several different types of motorcycles and include all of the mounting brackets. they come with pretty busy in stereo systems like Kenwood as well as speakers to boot. the only thing is you have to get them painted by a body shop has anybody came across any of these or know of actual any problems with them.

I've had one for a few years now and have had no issues. I like it just fine. Nice people to deal with. No need to relocate the speedo and tach. I think it's ABS plastic so pretty light weight. It uses a standard Harley 3 bolt WS. I used a headlight extender from http://www.xf6-custom.com/partpages/headex.html to move the headlight forward so it looks better in the opening IMHO.

I have a Woodys fairing.  It's a fiberglass fairing that Glenn makes one at a time.  He doesn't build you a fairing untill you order it......you'll have to wait untill it's built to get it.  He doesn't have a bunch of fairings sitting around on a self in a warehouse somewhere......he makes them himself.  And, they are NOT a general purpose fairing that's adapted for our Valks.....they are made specific for our Valks.  They fit like a glove.  IMHO, there's not a better fairing for the Valkyrie.

Mine came in black gelcoat.  I had just the outter fairing shell painted by a pro at a custom bike shop.  Told him I wanted it black and shiny.  Looks perfect and that paint only cost me $250.

With all of that said, if I hadn't bought the Woodys fairing, my second choice was going to be one of the Wide Open Custom fairings.  Just know that the Wide Open Custom fairings are a plastic fairing and you'll probably have a harder time making repairs to it if it's ever damaged.

Gotta second that on the Woody's fairing.. Fits great,& Glenn is a good guy to deal with.

Glenn from Woody's fairings is a stand up guy and makes a great product.
He has a lot of positive comments from customers.
His is a fiberglass, two piece fairing and he can sell you a package deal with radio, speakers and all.

Wide Open Customs is a plastic fairing, I have seen them at Daytona and they look great.
They come at a good price and they include the radio and speakers.
One other thing I like about them is that they are a one piece.

Some of the other fairings leave a lot to be desired where the inner and outer fairings meet, for some reason they do not match up well and it sticks out like a sore thumb.

  +1 on the Woody's. Very good craftsmanship. The Woody's with audio option,does require the speedometer ,tachometer to be relocated with a kit as well as a different headlight bracket that lowers and moves the headlight slightly forwards
