Gig got shot, I got shrapneled!! While walking across  Bagley in Southwest Detroit today we were the unsuspecting targets of some bored suckers air rifle or pellet gun!! crap....  Carhart jacket saved his back & took the brunt of what eventually hit me In the head!  Wow.......kids these days!!)).       X-box musta been down! Lol.        Jus sayin....

Did you happen to catch the little _astards that were taking pot shots at you?

I remember as a kid we just had pop guns and would sit in the bushes/trees as cars would go buy and make believe we fired at them with the small rifle like gun making a loud POP sound is all.  One car actually stopped after we shot at him in mid-traffic in our small town and got out and asked if they were real guns.  I said no and showed him by shooting the gun at my body and he threatened to call the cops on us. 

I do recall a few summers later though when we got bored shooting real BB guns at pop cans in town and took up on those blackbirds were a blast.  We would usually wound one since not most powerful BB guns and the injured black bird would squank/caw caw very loudly.  That would bring in all the other black birds just darting over our heads cawing wildly like dive bombers while we just kept shooting them down.  We weren't idiot enough to ever point real guns at people although my older brother did get shot in high school while small game hunting by one of his stupid friends with 6-7 shot about 50-60 yards away with a 12 gauge and the scattering hit my brother's back knocking him to the ground causing some bleeding and small pellets lodged into the skin, not bad though.  Needless to say, the idiot friend is no longer a friend after that stupid idea.  He's just lucky he didn't turn around and one of the fragments didn't hit his eyes causing blindness.
