Someone has to defend the ladies -- I've known lots of young men I could outthrow when I, too, was young.

Ya'll is still young in my eyes.

Have a great weekend.

My weekend is filled with High School Graduations.

While I do think all soldiers, sailors, Marines, and airmen should be able to defend themselves and their unit/mission, I also recognize that not all are combat infantry.   Every MOS has it's demands and requirements.   Your basic computer tech doesn't need to be 6' 4" and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound.   But, having said that, all should meet a minimum physical fitness standard and ability.   With the military being forced to be politically correct, those standards are being tested on a daily basis.

I'd also have to suggest that the young lady had not received adequate training prior to her demonstration of the all purpose hand grenade.   The training she received may have been adequate for the average soldier but she obviously needed more.

I can't help about the shape I'm in
I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to

JimmyG

That would be a NO!!  In the movies, OK, but not in real combat.
