Bought mine brand new on December 23rd, 2000 with 0.9 miles on the odometer...

109,000 miles on her now.

Still no bike currently being made that I'd trade her for (Unless I could sell the new bike and buy another Valk!)

I bought my 1998 Tourer brand new in Oct 2000, 110,000 miles later I still love the bike. A few years ago I bought a used 1999 I/S now a Supervalk and I put about 20,000 miles on that.

Let's RIDE

April 1, 1999. My mother was almost gone from lung cancer a month before and said, "Take some of this money and get it". She died in March. Fourteen years + and 137,000. :cooldude:
I ride a motorcycle because nothing transports me as quickly from where I am to who I am.

Got a 99 I/S used on June 30th 2010. Coming up on 40000 miles I put on her. Haven't ridden her since Saturday but i'm still grinnin.  :cooldude: Long as I can handle the weight i'll keep her. One of these days I WILL need a trike.  :crazy2: The later the better.  :cooldude: RIDE SAFE.

My wife Susan knew that I had an affair with motorcycles the first time she visited my appartment in 1972.  She saw that I was shacked up with an OSSA in the second bedroom.

Lady Val is my current open affair and both ladies are happy as long as I distribute bling somewhat equally between them.   :cooldude:

Valkorado

I got my 97 Tourer in August last year and had to put her into hibernation in early November.  Started riding again last month.  I've put nearly 10,000 miles on her in six months of blissful aimless wandering!

great looking pair of Valks, and I love that SilverWing, would love to find one of those.

Bought my '99 Tourer in '03, it had 15,000 on it. I have added 78,000 since then. Turned her into a Tourstate last year. I solo it out every chance I get.
Put this little baby together a year ago over the winter. Had a stock 1975 cb550 given to me.

MAD6Gun

Got my 97 Standard in June of 99 with 800 miles on it. In 04 I took it apart, painted it and chrome or polished almost everything. I added IS bags 4 years later. In fact they are the bags off of Willows First IS. Now it has 50000 miles on it......

November 1999 will be 14 years for me....bought the bike before I married my current wife...so does that make my wife the mistress?

Only 55k on  the valk...

That's not a Silverwing, that's one of my long ago coveted CX500 or CX650 Turbos, not sure which that is but very cool bike. My first street bike at 16 was a GL 500 Silverwing Interstate. :cooldude:

Got my second lady in '08.  Wife went with me to get her.  My dear wife would ride with me nearly every trip out of town till I retired.   She wanted to have time with me.  Now she doesn't ride much with me anymore, she wants some time alone.  So my second love and I go out and about for 6-9 hours to visit strange new places alone.

I have been averaging 10K a year since the two of us became one.

In January of 1997 I plunked down cash as a downpayment on a new Valk and demanded a black 1. The salesman said " we dont have a black one " I said " then I guess the next black 1 you get is mine !" I picked it up April 3rd ,97" without ever test riding one. It has 96k on the clock , got a little slowed down on riding after the 5th yr by 3 kids . But still wont part with it .

Just looked it up.
Bought mine 04/27/2003 brand new for 12,200 bucks at Rick Case Honda in Broward County Fla.
Got 27k on her now.

It has shared my riding time with 4 other bikes (Boss Hoss, V Max 2nd Gen. Harley FXR and a 1st Gen V Max.)but they're all gone now.
I kept the Phatty as my overall favorite. She's the best overall dependable one of the bunch.
I may go for a Connie 14 , FJR, or Triumph Touring in the future as an addition.Who knows?
The one thing I do miss is the ABS I had on the VMax!
