2007 with 3,400 miles. A clean, stock canvass for me to mess up.   :cooldude:

Momz

Best V-twin cruiser Honda ever made until the 1800 VTX.
Far better than than the 1100 ACE. The ACE outsold the Spirit but sucked hind teat in performance.

ALWAYS QUESTION AUTHORITY!

IMHO the 1100 Sabre was better than BOTH of those.....

Nice lookin' bike Gary  :cooldude:

I've seen alot of people that thought they were cool , but then again Lord I've seen alot of fools.

Valkorado

Nice Shadow!  I put 44,0000 miles on my Spirit 1100 before getting my Valkyrie.  The silver looks really nice, it is the fastest color of them all!   :coolsmiley:

Wish I could go, but too much going on.  Also gotta pick the bike up this weekened in Delaware.

It's an 1100 so it's got a little room.  Also has mid/forward controls which is just where I like'm.  It'll need taller bars of course.  Wanted long shot exhausts, but seems a lot of companies have already stopped making aftermarket parts for the 1100 Shadows.

Was just looking for a commuter bike and I think this one will fit the bill just fine.

And, maybe yes, it'll be Eric's first ride when he's ready.........

Heck, I didn't know it was a Honda just by looking at the pic. It is a nice clean looking bike.

Very Wide Glide-ish from the side.  I did find a company that makes raked trees with custom length forks that are supposed to maintane a "factory ride".  I wonder if that's possible.  They have a few pics and I like the look a lot.  They have 3 different sizes/lengths.  I think the "smaller" setup looks good.  But is it worth almost $2,000?

Picked her up Sunday morning and rode her back to NY.  Been almost 10 years since I've ridden a V-Twin and/or ridden without a windshield at highway speed.  And,...no heel shifter.  Took a little getting used to.  Should have thought to bring tools, though.  The rear brake pedal and the shifter peg both need to be adjusted to a lower position.  I really had to pull my toes way up to brake and downshift, also, the handlebars were a bit low.  But all in all it was a good, uneventful ride of about 150 miles.  She handled great and had plenty more to give to pass trucks and slower cars whenever I needed/wanted.  Seller was a good guy as well.  Looking forward to "making her mine".  I already see a windshield, taller handlebars, and maybe new pipes in her immediate future.

I don't think so. I remember Eric that day, it was cool out and he was bundled up. It was PowWow 2009 in NY. Pic was taken on way to Orange County Choppers, at the gas station where the restroom appearantly caught fire...
