What do you guys think of this?  Its a good thing today's a Holiday since I'd probably have called my credit union by now to see if this was do-able.

This is same bike, first link leads to the Craigslist ad, and then I went from there to their own web site.  Anyone have an experience dealing with these folks?  Does this seem a little too good to be true?

That's a decent deal IMO and the dealership's will always kick the price up so you can feel better when you talk them down " alittle " .

In case I go look at this beauty today or tomorrow, what are some hints and tips to look for beyond the obvious?  I've already asked the dealer a few questions like last service, brake status, tire wear/age, etc..  Oil was changed at the end of the riding season last year.  He says brakes are at 50%, and tires are Dunlap with unknown miles on them. 

The only eyebrow-raising part of the reply was in the dealer saying it is a one-owner bike, purchased new from "ASK Powersports" in 1998, Columbus, OH.  For those not from around here, "ASK" is "Ackers Suzuki Kawasaki," and to the best of my knowledge they've never been a Honda dealership.  I did a quick check on the VIN and found no entries in that area.

$5K would be more attractive to me. My '98 was only $100 more than his asking price with less miles.

I knew you would be back on a valk...LOL  I saw that one too, great price and if it is in good shape will not last long. 

Ask had a Honda dealership on Broad St by Town and Country shopping center, not sure when it did close.  We bought a CB900 and a CBX from them in the late 80s as new in the crate leftovers.

Good luck on getting another one, I enjoy your old one everyday.

Ask to look at the title.  If there has only been one owner... that persons name and address will be on the front.  Make a note of it and call him or her.
