Colorado Memorial Fun Run report.......

Thanks to Seth (Valkorado) for putting this ride together for us here in beautiful Colorado. We had a great ride. Road through the Black Canyon of Gunnison thru Crawford and Hotchkiss Colorado spending the 1st night in Montrose. Left Montrose and and rode the "Million Dollar Highway" Hwy 550 to Durango after stopping in Ouray for some coffee and chocolate. Had some "Serious Texas BBQ" in Durango then continued on Hwy 160 through Pagoso Springs over Wolfcreek Pass tho Southfork where we went north on Hwy 149 spending the 2nd night in Creede Colorado where we were entertained at the motel by none other than the VRCC member CHASE KINTER! Chase and the motel owner put on a great performance. Thanks Chase
On the ride was Seth and Cheryl, Scott and Vicki, Dave and Robin, Chase, Damon, Dean, Darby and Raymond. A great time was had by all!!

Side note here, Dave and Robin were on the ride also but had to follow in the cage as Dave had injured a couple of ribs and wasnt comfortable enough to ride his Valk. Really enjoyed spending time with them.

Writing this from the job in Delta and envious of your trip; I've done all those roads (except Creede) and you've been in "the marrow of the mountains" when it comes to cycling across the Great Divide.

Coloroda, Utah, Wyoming, etc. is on my bucket list even in a cage since the scenery is truly amazing as seen only from pics/videos.  The midwest region gets old viewing compared to the rest of the US.

Been as only as far west as South Dakota and SE Montana will make it further over/down one of these years. Just wish gas prices would go back down to under 3 bucks per gallon but not counting my chickens on that one.

   Great ride report, Raymond!  I didn't know you were snappin' pics on the pass, you are fearless!  This was a nice ride with really good people.  Thanks to everyone for coming along, you made it a very fun run!  I'll try to get some more pics up soon.

Very cool weekend. Thank you everyone for coming. Originally I was doing this ride solo. Then Seth wanted to meet some folks so we threw it out there. Good call Seth. I thought it was really cool of Dave and Robin to show up in a cage after his accident. Most folks would have stayed home. True VRCC spirit.    it was good to see Hagar again and it is always good to hang with Whooray. It was nice to take more than a day ride with my son Chase also. We have not done more than a day rides together since Inzane. Also I was glad that The Dean showed on Sunday after work. Good dude. I hope that we have convinced Cheryl to do Inzane instead of AZ. Come on Cheryl come play with us in WI. Seth, don't miss the early bird registration cut off tonight. You will not regret it. Thanks again. Great ride.
