A lawyer representing U.S. President Barack Obama has admitted the long-form birth certificate presented by the White House last year is a forgery – but that does not disqualify him from appearing on the ballot this November.

Defense attorney Alexandra M. Hill made the comments during a recent New Jersey ballot challenge hearing, brought about by Tea Party members who question his eligibility to appear on the state's presidential primary ballot. Attorney for the plaintiffs, Mario Apuzzo, argued that President Obama has furnished proof of his "natural born" citizenship status to the state of New Jersey.

Apuzzo went on to say that Obama's father was not an American citizen, meaning President Obama is not a "natural born" citizen and ineligible for the office he holds.

Hill tried to dismiss the suit because, while the U.S. Constitution limits the office of president to only those who have a "natural born" citizenship status, New Jersey law does not require a candidate to furnish proof of his or her status.

I present this as a point of interest Snopes says its not true but with no real support to their idea. I found this video of the proceedings and the Tea Party was not allowed to do the legal moves to require Obama to produce his certificate either. I guess that although this is not a outright admittance it should give Eagle and others like him pause. The legal precedence here is that Obama has never produced his birth certificate to any court as evidence so there is no lie that it was not legitimate and therefore he is not guilty of a felony. A legal maneuver that sides steps the issue, in itself a admittance of a lie.

No I actually don't feel better, I wanted change also but did not trust what Obama was selling so I didn't vote for him. So believe it or not I am sorry that Obuma did not turn out to be the hope that we all hoped for. Obama is definitely a citizen especially with the new immigration reform bill being almost passed But I would like the law to be followed as far as qualifications for president. Hell you and me have to jump through the hoops if we want to qualify for anything. He is not entitled to special privileges. He needs to be doing it cleaner and straighter than anyone not to mention the ones that are guarding the hen house also need to get off their rears and follow the laws of this country and make Obama uphold the law and press to see if he is qualified. That was the point of my post and I guess it should have been more to the point. As many times as this has come up and nothing comes of it, can it ever be truthfully proven? alright in all seriousness his mother IS american, that makes him american. unless, she went and lived in another country married a man from said country and applied for citizenship of that country for her son. you do know he spent much of his formulative years in the philippines? and then later a bit in Hawiaii, which back then was much different then living in the lower 48.
