Took the doggie clippers out on the back porch and went to town. 5 minutes latter and all that's left is a stubble. Feels damn good.  :cooldude:

Did the same thing yesterday.  Too hot for hair.   ;)
I can't help about the shape I'm in
I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to

Been doing it for years.  I use the shortest little guard on the clippers, so I have about 1/8" left.  The bare clippers would draw blood from time to time.

The trick/trouble is the back which you have to do by feel. I hang a mirror on my bike shed door outside, then come inside and look at the back in a 3way mirror.... OK that's not good, go try again (usually several times).  I am not that particular anyway.  Then I have to use one of those little plastic battery trimmers for the nose, brows, ears.... which seem to grow faster than the head as we age.

I still sweat my helmet out in summer thou.  Never been a fan of the std do-rags with a tail flapping around my neck (pirate wear).   Went to a new aftermarket bike parts stuff store last week and guy recommended this:  (we'll see if it's really any cooler)

Since my DW has some issues in December (all healed up now), I have been using a trimmer, that I has been using for my beard, on my head.  DW has been cutting my hair for nearly 40 years.  Once a week, just run it over my head.  Leaves about a 1/8 " of hair standing up.

Slightly off topic from the shaved head,( but I do go close with a #2 guard)  as for the bandana I use this one from Lowes while I'm at work ( garbage man) usually wear it sweat band style, but I've gone pirate style too. Works good ( no affiliation yada yada)

I've worn a nylon skull cap under my helmet for years.

Started wearing one when I was on the force.

Top Dog allowed them so long as nothing hung below the helmet.

Wear, wash, wear, wash about 20 times and toss it for another one.   Especially when I was stationed in the San Diego area.    Got up on the hill and we wore them if the prediction it was to get hot.    Usually had one on the motor in da collection box, when the temp went haywire from the prediction.  Which was quite often.

I have not paid for a haircut in 17 years!!!  Not for me or my 6 year old.  I dropped $100 on a professional set of clippers 10 years or so ago.  That was WAY worth it.

I like the #2 guard... my wife likes me to use #3.  So I use #3 on the boy... and #2 on me.

;D

Me wife uses #2 on me about every 2 or 3 weeks.

When I was on the force, she cropped me #2 on top and white sidewalls on the sides and back, evey 5 days.

Retired and she went #2 all over.   I kind of wish every once in awhile she would white sidewall me.     I liked it close on the sides.

Didn't seem to sweat so hard then.    I think the wind kept it dry.

Uh... RJ, I don't think it's the haircut making you sweat man.  Although... I like it short too.  It is definitely cooler.

I started shaving my head back in 1995. By shaving I mean with a razor. It was tricky at first but you get the hang of it.

I used to shave my own head with guard #2, but my wife likes it better when a pro does it, so I get 0 on the sides and #1 on the top.

I wore a short flattop for years. Then I shaved it off when my brother started chemo. Now we both enjoy the freedom of no hair.  :cooldude:

I haven't paid for a haircut since 1997. But that's because I haven't HAD a haircut since 1997 ;)

Pain in the ass to put it in a multi-banded pony tail to ride, but oh well, I likes it and I keeps it.

Been shaving my head with a razor for several years now.  Not to hard. I use a hand held mirror to get the back of my head. I usually shave it on Sunday night for work on Monday and Wednesday. The Wednesday shave gets me to my weekend, Friday thru Sunday, then start all over again.... :cooldude:
