I was at a big box store yesterday, I saw 3 kids (teens) try to walk out the automatic entry (the wrong way) i looked it has a big sticker on the inside sez "do not enter" 

on the way out I saw an Asian kid do the same thing.  (oops dang I just described him by his ethnicity, probably get called a racist)

I did plenty of stupid crap when i was young, i'm sure they will get OLDER AND WISER!

I've seen old wise people do the same thing except they continued repeatedly to try to get out. You see all kinds of dumb out there. I might have even done something dumb once or twice!

i've done that.  many automatic doors will open if you approach from either direction.  it is annoying to be herded to the 'official' exit doors, when all you want to do is leave the building from the closest exit.

And for the record I frequently force my way in on the exit, even to the point of muscling the doors open if they don't open automatically, in situations where the exit door is closer to what I'm after in the store. (Home Depot and Fry's Electronics do this a lot)
