I wish them all the best.

Hope it doesn,t spread to Creede.

My wife told me she would go with me on a ride this weekend. I was trying to call the Blue Creek Lodge to book a room for Saturday night. Kept getting a fast busy, now I know why.

Beetle-killed tree are a real problem, the drought weakens the trees and the beetles kill them. Then the fires rage off the dead trees. The forest I knew as a kid are gone or going.

The Colorado memorial day ride went right through that area, spent the night in Creede.  Good thoughts for everyone affected by this fire.

I hear Creede is also under evacuation, and they are setting up a shelter for the residents in Gunnison.  Another fire is burning by Silver Jack reservoir.   :'(

I guess Creede is not under evacuation yet, but they are potential pre-evacuation.  The winds have shifted favorably for South Fork as well.  We could sure use a decent rain or three.
