I can't remove some of the screws holding the inner fairing in place. Apparently the nuts are spinning on the backside. Any ideas on how to remove them without breaking the fairing? Thank you in advance.

VERY GENTLY pry with a thin screw driver or a butter knife while loosening the screw. Then after you get them out of the hole you will need to separate the ferrules from the screws. Then you will need to use 2 part epoxy or A B S black hardening cement to reinstall them in the fairing. Then use anti seize when reinstalling the screws into the ferrules. Been there done that.  :2funny: But by doing it this way the NEXT time it will be easy peasy.  :cooldude: RIDE SAFE.
Today is the tommorow you worried about yesterday. If at first you don't succeed screw it-save it for nite check.  1964  1968 U S Navy. Two cruises off Nam.

pretty much followed those instructions, but for reinstall.  I cleaned everything, lightly lubed the screw and ferrule put the screw into the ferrule.  i put the prepped epoxy into the hole, touched a little on the ferrule as well and then pushed it in, wiping off any excess epoxy.  let it set an hour and simply removed the screw.

Jus' had 2 of the ferrules come out last night while installing new speakers.
