Wasn't sure if I should post this here or on the tech board. so please don't crucify me for posting it here..
I also did a search but couldn't find anything on this subject...

It looks like my dream of getting a Trike'd Valkyrie Interstate is Finally going to be realized her in the VERY near future... None of the candidates have an MP3 player. In an effort to budget things, I am wondering what the experience of the board has been?

Any suggestions or experiences on the subject will be greatly appreciated.

respectfully,

Life is not a journey to the grave with the expectation of arriving in one pretty, well preserved piece but, to be skidded into broadside at full speed, battered, bruised, and thoroughly used up, having poked the grim reaper in the eye shouting "GERONIMO"

Under the right side cover is an aux input plug. That's where you use a male to male connection wire, and then mount your own player. One of the radio buttons is "aux". Push that to make the MP3 play through the radio.

Set the handlebar control to AUX ... Plug the device in ( right side behind side cover ) its plug and play. Its best to run the wire up the left side of the bike if not you will get alternator/coil feedback in the speakers.

I've seen alot of people that thought they were cool , but then again Lord I've seen alot of fools.

I ran an audio jack extension cord to the handle bars from that jack under the side cover.  I use it with my Garmin NUVI GPS, which also has an MP3 Player Built in.  I removed a CD player from the trunk and the remote control unit from the handle bars.... where my GPS is now mounted right dead center on the top handle bar clamp with a Ram Mount Ball.   I have a power port mounted under the handlebars in between the handle bar risers .  Works very well... I love it.  Oh, the GPS with MP3 get moved from Bike to Bike to Car to Bike but on the other bikes I use ear buds... the car has an audio jack as well.

You'll be looking for the 3mm jack under the right side cover. Here's what it looks like:
