Strange thing happened today.....not Valk related.

  When I was a young private back in the dark ages and first learning to handle the Garand, I got the "M1 thumb" a couple of times, before I learned to move quickly.  Well today, I got a "Glock Pinky" !
I had been working on my G33 and was putting the slide back on and when I racked the slide to check things I grabbed it in some strange manner and got my little finger and nail caught in the cursed thing.  Then with my finger caught, and hurting like hell, I had no free hand to rack the slide to get loose. I had to go to the work bench and rack it using the sight on the edge of the wood bench. Of course the first time it slipped loose and pinched the finger again!! I never knew the recoil spring had such pressure. Anyway, I finally got loose from the demon Glock and am getting a purple pinky nail.  ???

   Funny you said that.  My daughter was using some black polish on her nails tonight and she said the same thing.

    I've always kinda had a thing for good looking goth chicks.....but I don't think I'd make a good goth dude, that's why I passed on her suggestion.

  I did almost the same thing at the local gun range a couple of weeks ago. Except mine took a bunch of skin. I was bleeding all over the place. Wife has trouble racking the slide on my Glock and I've always given her a hard time about it. Now I'm looking for something a little easier to rack the slide for the wife. Oh and the rangemaster had plenty of band aids for me.

   They sell a "Glock charging handle" that fits on the back of the slide that is supposed to make the slide easier to hold on to and rack.
