Being as they are Boon Toon Buddies, the Obiminator will probably offer asylum to Morsi.  Give the Brotherhood a toe hold here in AmeriKa.

I wonder who has the keys to the strong box (banking pass codes) for the $$$$$ we sent to Egypt/

complicated. Morsi elected as member of Muslim Brotherhood.  not our best friends.

last summer he annulled the constitution that might restrict his powers.  he has expressed solidarity with Gaza and Hamas in Palestine.

I agree it will be a big challenge for the US including our aid.  interesting that no comment so far from world leaders.  I expect there will be lots of turmoil for a while.  US has been a supporter of the military but not necessarily the leader.  I hope we stay out of most of this.  :-\

I don't think we can stay out of this, can we ? It seems with all the aid we have recently sent them that we are now up to our eyes in this. We seem to love to get involved in every countries business.

No, not exactly right big d.  :o that was Hosni Mubarak, the dictator before Morsi. Morsi is aligned with the Muslim Brotherhood.

Though I guess he was an a..hole he supported US.  and you are right, Mubarak is out of office.  but, I suspect you meant Morsi.

Cheney's comments on Mubarak: "So he's been a good man and a good friend and ally of the United States, and we need to remember that," said Cheney, according to Politico. "You're looking for balance here, but I do hope that there is a channel of communication."

I meant morsi. He is the person Hillary said was a family friend in an interview. He, morsi is the one Obama supported to be in office even though he is part of the Muslim brotherhood. I got it right...

She replied, in part:

"No. It's an annual report. It is not in any way connected. We look forward to President Mubarak coming as soon as his schedule would permit. I had a wonderful time with him this morning. I really consider President and Mrs. Mubarak to be friends of my family. So I hope to see him often here in Egypt and in the United States."

Personally, I see the people of Egypt standing up to the Muslim Brotherhood and taking their country back from them as a good thing.

Yes, I was watching the fireworks that the good citizens of Egypt were setting off after Morsi got yanked.

Couldn't help compare that to us today, the 4th of July.
