I just took off my Cobra pipes and put stock pipes on. WOW what a difference. Cobra pipes will never go back on. I couldn't believe the difference in the power. I figured there would be a difference but not that big of a difference. I guess HONDA had the right parts all along. :coolsmiley:

Honda 'done good' with this monster. Everything is pretty well done. There may be a couple 'soft' spots, but, they are livable.

I just put the cobra pipes on after getting a set on craigs list for a 100 bucks way to loud maybe if I was 19 I would like them not now so I think ill try the set of 2 brothers 6 into 2 canister pipes I also got for 100 bucks and see what they sound like the headers are stainless steel and they have a built in crossover tube but don't like the color

Kim has stock baffled Cobra 6x6 pipes on her 1998. There is a loss of power most noticeably at mid range, it has a big flat spot. My two Valks have glasspack exhaust & the loss of power is very apparent when switching from one bike to another.
Kim loves the noise so that's the way it will stay. I must admit it sounds awesome although too loud for my taste.  :o
