Understand you have put up a little shanty in Sargent.

Do you know if (what used to be) that nice restaurant just over the swing bridge has been reopened?

Was closed down last time I was down there.  Used to enjoy the ride down and sitting on the deck and watching the boats pass on the Intercoastal Canal.

Live in Houston and was curious when I saw you post about Sargent.

Sorry , been awhile since I looked at the Texas Post.    Yeah I got a place at Sargent now, not too fancy but on a canal and it has air conditioning.......ha.    No, the restaurant across the bridge is not open.   The one on the right before the bridge is.    The best place to eat in Sargent we have found is the Crab Trap, and it is ona side road about a mile before the bridge.   It is down by and just past Charlies bait camp and boat launch.   Also the Blue Gieko is a pretty good restaurant / bar and it is on the main highway.  If you are down that way my place is directly behind and across the canal from the Blue Gieko restaurant.  Drop in, we are there about every other weekend.
