Howdy folks! Thought I should introduce myself... Name's Art and I just picked up a lightly used (39k miles) 2000 Valkyrie Interstate on 7/3. Owned numerous bikes during my 20+ years of riding... VT1000C (2 of 'em), GL1200I, GL1800 ABS (sold last year), ST1100, DR 650. Still have an '04 650 V-Strom in garage but it's in need of some serious TLC after I got T-boned on it this May.

Really enjoying the Valk... More character than my recently sold GL1800. Helluva lot more power than my old GL1200. Already working on farkel list for Valk... Bar risers & some type of baffles for these gawd-awful LOUD 4" stacks the PO put on!

Well, they are not exactly quiet, but the headache inducing drone is gone, and it sounds better, kinda like a Porsche. I like them a lot.  Hoser

Well there is an Ohio chapter and there is a board that members post on...i admit I do not watch it regularly..but it seems as if there is somewhat of a void in the central ohio area, maybe just my lack of paying attention. But I know they have a group up around cleveland that has a facbook page..ne ohio valk riders or something like that..how many central ohio valks we have that use facebook?..any interest in a central ohio valk riders "group"?, open to any of course, but maybe a way to stay in touch and possibly organize stuff for riders in the middle of the state..shout out all.what ya think?

I sold my 2 Valks and bought a 2007 650 V Strom ABS  , soo much lighter  to handle  .
It was difficult to NOT buy another Valk  , I shore liked mine

Have a ride planned for Sept. 14th meet at cracker barrel on rt 37 and 71. Heading east on 37 to 256 east. To 664 south yo 56 east to Athens pick up 550 to 329 to 144 to rt 50 east at Coolville to 555 at little hocking ride 555 to Zanesville 70 west to Columbus let me know if you are interested. About 300 miles.
