Suppose a small group of extremely wealthy people sought to systematically destroy the U.S. government by

(1) finding and bankrolling new candidates pledged to shrinking and dismembering it;

(2) intimidating or bribing many current senators and representatives to block all proposed legislation, prevent the appointment of presidential nominees, eliminate funds to implement and enforce laws, and threaten to default on the nation's debt;

(3) taking over state governments in order to redistrict, gerrymander, require voter IDs, purge voter rolls, and otherwise suppress the votes of the majority in federal elections;

(4) running a vast PR campaign designed to convince the American public of certain big lies, such as climate change isn't occurring, and

(5) buying up the media so the public cannot know the truth.

Would you call this treason?

Uplifting and encouraging thoughts to be sure.

We think it silly to attribute to malice what can be explained quite adequately by simple stupid.  We think we are beset in this country by stupid leadership.  Well intended perhaps, but stupid.  We frankly doubt that there are any "groups," super wealthy or no, smart enough to do all you speculate.

A wise man has said that in a representative form of government, the people end up getting the kind of leadership they deserve.  We fear this is true.

We trudge on.

This is true of every administration I remember . It goes hand in hand . There will never be a party or administration that represents everyone equally or unanimously . "The squeaky wheel gets the grease !" -not always , but I'm definitely tired of the noise.

Suppose a small group of extremely wealthy people sought to systematically destroy the U.S. government by

(1) finding and bankrolling new candidates pledged to shrinking and dismembering it;
as opposed to growing government agencies by 150% or more
(2) intimidating or bribing many current senators and representatives to block all proposed legislation, prevent the appointment of presidential nominees, eliminate funds to implement and enforce laws, and threaten to default on the nation's debt;
you never met a spending bill you didn't like
(3) taking over state governments in order to redistrict, gerrymander, require voter IDs, purge voter rolls, and otherwise suppress the votes of the majority in federal elections;
valid point both sides gerrymander to benefit their parties interest in order to best get their candidates re-elected, you need an ID to do most anything in this country except vote :uglystupid2: :uglystupid2:

(4) running a vast PR campaign designed to convince the American public of certain big lies, such as climate change isn't occurring, and
the science isn't set, can't prove it just by screaming it over and over agian

(5) buying up the media so the public cannot know the truth.
most media has a liberal slant so I don't think you can prove that iehter

There has to be a reason for this post, liberalism does not lend itself to reasonable explanations and real judgements. To be labeled as a nut case to a liberal they throw a statement out there and if you agree you are a nut case. Its not a debate but a baiting session.  :)

I can't see what's wrong with requiring voter IDs and purging voter rolls, if it ensures only those legally entitled to vote are voting, and lets them only vote once.

You're being way too rational.   :cooldude:  Don't you realize that those act are aimed at disenfranchising the Democratic voter base, that doesn't drive or have access to obtain official identification.  :roll:  The fact that you have to have ID to buy liquor, cigarettes, drive, cross the border, etc...., but somehow it is unfair to have to have a valid ID to vote makes no sense.  But, what do I know, I have a drivers license, a passport, and a Voter ID card.

I don't know where or when this post showed up, but, no matter. It appears to me, and others a whole lot smarter than I am, that Soros is and has been systematically destroying our country by changing our government. He's a successful man, he's winning. He claims he achieve his goal within the next 20 years. The way we are going, I believe him.

Suppose he posted a post and no-one could be bothered to answer.

Sometimes I read them just the pure enjoyment it gives me  :evil:

Sometimes I post a reply cause it really is so much fun.

Sometimes I hold my breath waiting for a follow up to any replies from the OP.

Well actually no I don't cause generally having flown in and stirred the pot the OP moves on to another pot in a distant galaxy far far away.
