sounds about right from what I heard also.  Around 90ish all week.  If possible, get the rides started in the morning earlier if possible since after noon, gets pretty darn hot, at least for me anyways.

stay cool!  :cooldude:

I was told it was to try and accommodate those in the farming business, in between crops and planting, and those working around school schedules, plus some plants shutdown around this time to retool for the new year. Don't know if that is all still true, but an administrator, or two may have, or have not, told me this when I asked such a question! Clear as mud I hope!

I was there on Sunday and Monday morning. I had to leave on a family emergency. It was hot and buggy. ( not the kind with wheels)  Remet some old faces and put names and faces together with a bunch of new to me family. I am very sorry to have to leave , but family is first.
Got to talk to Carl and many others. Bless our VRCC family and may you all be safe.

Hmmmmm Sturgis is held the same time every year and at the same place and they seem to do OK.  At least the VRCC Staff works their tushs off each year trying to provide a variety in locations while also trying to be fair in travel distances for all the attendees which is no easy task - especially trying to make "everyone" happy.  LOTS of hard work for the "big bucks" they get paid for their efforts.

Billyboy and I were able to get up at 6AM and go for 200 mile ride and
get a great AM meal before it got hot.
We got back about 10 AM and all was well.

Same here ride in the AM and then listen to Tech in the afternoon. Then at night go downtown or hang around for same B.S.
Let's RIDE

If memory serves me (that's a goodun!) the date of the first Inzane in Zanesville Ohio was set to take place at the same time as Honda Homecoming so that there could be a Valkyrie parade from Zanesville to Marysville.  July was the month then and now.

At any rate, I hope that everyone is having a great greet and meet in Wisconsin.  Thanks Paul for the pics.

Good thing about that tho is tho it is hot there is no humidity, well at least that most are use to. If its 100 deg there it feel like 80 to me. Plus you can escape into the mountains or a saloon.  :cooldude:

Ok, all fair responses I was just curious. It seems that a lot of folks (many, many posts to this effect) really wish it were held in cooler months. Living in Orlando, which is our "Winter" in terms of how much riding we do, I know we relish the cooler months to do some serious riding. I can certainly appreciate how much effort must be going into planning such a national event. My hat is off to them for that.

No need to roll your eyes, I'm just asking  :-*.  As far as a better time of year, late Spring or early Fall would seem to be the obvious answer.  Seems everyone is having a great time up there though. I am envious of those who made the ride. Here is to a safe and enjoyable time for all!  :cooldude:
