Removed my Cobra exhaust baffles today...

Why didn't I do this sooner!   :crazy2: Sounds mean and nasty. My Corvette Red Interstate had the same pipes but I never took the baffles out. Probably couldn't have heard the stereo.  ;)

how old or how long were they on the bike and how easy or not did they come out

I bought this bike a month ago and the pipes were already on there. The baffles had some carbon and rust build up but I used pliers and just pulled and twisted and wiggled them right out. A couple of them were a bit stubborn but not a problem.

I got a set of cobras a few weeks ago used cheep with the baffles put them on drove about 10 miles pulled them off way to loud I am mounting my 2 brothers racing 6 into 2   with the carbon fiber canisters In a day or so to see how they sound did you notice any loss in power with the cobras without the baffles in them ?

I rode about 25 miles after I removed the baffles and could not tell any loss of power. It was a concern because a couple of V-Twins I have owned did lose power. Also the noise might be a factor on a long trip, so I can easily re-install the baffles.

Two Brothers might be fun. I think they are tuned for more power. I know a guy who has the Two Brothers 6 into 6 and he likes them. They are just a bit different than the Cobras.

they 2 brothers guy claims they add 10-12 hp with no jetting or need for any modifications where the cobras are said to loose 3-6 hp with the baffles installed

Just got home for a little 100 mile loop with a friend of mine, we stopped for a water break and I said "Ya know I might have to put those baffles back in", then a few miles later we passed a bike night spot dominated by HD's as we passed by I gunned the throttle and they all looked....and I thought..."Dayum them baffles"  :evil:
