Black Dog's take on IZXIII...

For the record, this was number 10 for me...  Started with IZII...

It was HOT!!!!!  

It seems that everywhere we go for InZane, it is right around the time the area we are in sets new record high temps...  This year was no different.  Loth (98T) and I saw a bank sign change from 99 to 100 as we rode past...

The reason I look forward to going every year is to see the friends I've made in the previous years...  This was no different.  Folks I met at IZII were picking up the conversation just as though we were talking yesterday.  Old friends, sweaty 'bro' hugs, belly laughs, cool bikes, cold drinks, beautiful scenery and fun roads to ride on...

It was HOT!!!  

The staff did an amazing job at pulling everything together. TP & Nancy - What can I say?  You live in MN, but everywhere ya looked, TP or Nancy had a hand in making it possible!  My hat is off to the both of you    Scott & Joani - InZane wouldn't be the same without Scotts booming voice during the banquette or out in the parking lot...  He seems to be everywhere.  Joani seemed to be behind the regestration desk, and out selling tickets, at the same time, and always a beautiful smile...  Connie and Psyco are two more IZ fixtures that always seem to be where the action is.  Lori (Yo MaMa) and Carl...  So good to see the both of you, and to see Carl getting around so well (keep healing Bro...).  Daniel did his Super Man immitation by being out in the blazing heat teaching anyone that would listen, how to make their Valkyrie last just a bit longer...

It ws HOT!!!

I feel bad about having to have my arm twisted to help with the Poker Run...  It was one of my favorite parts of the event, and getting up early was a small price to pay to get to meet so many new folks...

The time spent went by so quickly...  Things remembered will be Smokin' Joe holding court, teaching all the late night partiers the ways of the south, T-Bird and his unusual headwear, Loth and the 'fake' Birthday Party, how good the pool felt, gawking at so many beautiful bikes, Ron looking for his Backrest, Jim's hearty laugh, and too many good friends that I haven't seen in too long...

It was HOT!!!  

There were only two things that put a damper on the festivities...  Tom & Laura crashing was the worst by far.  They are one of the originals, and I feel so bad for them.  Keep them in your prayers, and hope to see them next year.

The second was the banquett...  I know and understand that there was no fault by our staff, and it was way beyond their control.  I believe the banquette manager for the hotel should be hung by his thumbs, nude, with Fire Ants munching on his grapes...  Then fire him.  But I didn't go to the banquette for a five star meal...  I went to be with friends, and to squeeze the last little bit of spending time with friends, that I could...

Considering the heat, it was kinda nice to be only 192 miles from home this time around...  Home by 2:30 yesterday afternoon...  

Man, it was HOT!!!  

I had a great time, can't wait for next year...

Yes sir it was hot and starting Monday this week it is supposed to cool down and rain.

I got ya beat on the 1st attend, I got IZ1-IZ9 I think it was. (it was Frisco, CO) and then I got stuck with my trailing line for O2.     Can't go no where without it.

Yes sir, It was HOT here also.     Several days it just barely touch 100 and then dropped a couple of degrees real quick.

But it was still HOT and humid.

I too would like to thank TP and Nancy and all their crew for all the work they did for this event. INCREDIBLE. And to ALL the VRCC Staff - thank you again for another great INZANE. You always do a fantastic job. We enjoy helping and working with you all as much as we enjoy being with at the event.

Yeah, it does seem like the Inzanes coincide with heat waves.

Yeah, it was hot.. I think we can all agree on that.  But as I told you all week long - I know what Wisconsin winters are like so I'm glad to have 95+° heat rather than the alternative extreme we WILL get in about 6 months. 

When we're sitting in our homes with snow piled up to the windows I will look back on  InZane 13 with fond memories - I think it was my 8th. 

I would agree with Steve's take on everything.  And I look forward to the next gathering.

I also want to thank everyone (TP, Nancy, Joani, Scott, Carl, Lori, Misfit, Madison, Deb, F6 Gal, Psycho, Misfit's other 2 kids, and all the other great people (I'm sorry if I left any out) who made this happen.

Way more work than most of us realize goes into making this happen.

I could not agree any more with the above posts.

What was within the control of the (our) staff and volunteers went by without a hitch as usual.

What was out of their control was the weather and an incompetent banquet manager ( the fire ants woulds be a good way to get even) But like Black Dog said, we don't go for the meals, we go for the ride and people.

I would also like to extend a thank you for everyone that had a hand in making this a memorable event, especially TP and Nancy who really stepped up to the plate.

Loved the heat at Inzane but Im someone that loves going to new Orleans in july and august and walking around everywhere.  Lacrosse was fantastic nothing to complain about it was all good.
