We had a B-17 here today, what a cool thing to see:

When in doubt, ride.

Grumpy

And nothing compares to the sound of a big radial engine firing up.

that same plane flew directly over our house the other day!!

several years ago, my father was telling me how there was an air show in chandler arizona, and a B-17 flew over their house.  my father actually ducked for cover, seems he had a flash back from when he was a child during WWII in italy.  he told me later, that he remembered when they would fly over their house in italy, and they were so low, just over the tree top.  they'd bomb the town they lived in.  he said he never fogot the sounds of those engines, even after fifty years.

now, imagine having a dozen of 'em in the air at once!!
