I have formed a group on facebook named, Central Ohio Valkyries. Just another way to stay connected and maybe communicate rides in our local area. Anyone interested is welcome..isn't intended to replace this forum or impose on anyone in any way. Any one interested just hit me up

Keep in mind that any increased VRCC activity on Facebook, intended or not, will diminish activity to this forum.

Facebook mainly benefits Facebook.  It in no way ever benefits organizations such as the VRCC.

There is already a Honda Valkyrie Group on FB.... but I still prefer it here, easier format here actually.

fantsybikr.... I searched for "Central Ohio Valkyries" and it didn't bring up anything. We are in NE Ohio so it would be good to know about Central Ohio as well. PM me any further info, if you have it.



As to Facebook groups diminishing the activity on the VRCC boards, I can see that being a concern, especially as Facebook membership grows. I think the draw is the quick & easy way to post questions etc. about the Valk on FB and you get quick answers. Nothing is in-depth though, so the niche, I think, will remain so.

For any in-depth maintenance, event, or other info that requires more than a sentence or so, the VRCC board is still the place to be.

For example, I  have a group on Facebook, the "NE Ohio Valkyrie Riders & Friends" group. It consists mainly of Valkyrie and other-brand motorcycle owners in about 8 counties in Northeast Ohio. 95% of the posts on there are to plan local, day-rides, with local riders. That kind of info is, and never was, conducive to the national VRCC message board anyway, so it fits a needed niche.

And as a side-note, the four Valkyrie-specific groups that I belong to on Facebook are devoid of the always-fun political, gun, and other "rhetoric" so prevalent here.
