the Armistice for the Korean war was signed. The P G R here was invited by the V F W to stand a flag line and attend a flag ceremony on the square in Mountain Grove Mo. After the flag line we went to the Mountain Grove Mo. V F W hall for biscuits and gravy and hot coffee. The truly interesting part of this was in attendance at the V F W hall we had a WWII Veteran a couple of Korean War Veterans a bunch of Viet Nam War Veterans and an Iraqi War Veteran. I was 8 years old when the Korean Armistice was signed. 11 years later I went to my own war. Thank you all VETERANS from all the Wars. I proudly go out every morning here and salute my AMERICAN FLAG. To ALL who gave all-STAND DOWN MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. MAY YOU FOREVER REST IN PEACE.

i just had the honor of standing with 11 Korean  war vets tonight, what made special was the 5 WWII vets who came out and stood with their brothers to honor their service

The thing that he told me was the strangest thing there
was that was the only war where he was frozen and roasted

I'm glad to see that "The Forgotten War" is no longer forgotten.

The 60th anniversary again reminds me of how I woke up at 10pm on July 27th 1953.  My medical outfit was 3 miles north of the 38th parallel.  We woke up because of the sudden absence of the sound of artillery and machine gun fire and said "What was that?"

Funny in a way but also a relief. No more business for our outfit.

My hat is off to all the veterans who served before, during and after the Korea War.  God Bless them all.

Wayne-that very term you used was heard quite frequently yesterday at the Flag Ceremony and the V F W Hall-Forgotten War.  As long as I breathe I myself will NEVER forget the wars fought or the reason for them-OUR FREEDOM.  "they" tried to make me ashamed of the United States Navy Uniform I wore and what I had done and the Medals I had earned. "they"NEVER succeeded in making me ashamed-never have and never WILL. It is my honor to stand shoulder to shoulder with you Wayne and all the Veterans on this board and anywhere else they might happen to be. Veterans know-FREEDOM IS NOT FREE.
