Sunday August 4th at Orsak's at 9:30am meet-eat-greet in Fayetteville, TX...come one...come alll

MarcusS

I like the ridding early Idea. I would be coming in from North Houston thru Hempstead and Bellville down 159. I like that road. I have never actually stopped in Fayetteville.
Anyone going out 290 let me know and we can get together at Buckees. :cooldude:
Life goes on whether you are in it for the ride or not.

mario

we may be in, too.  i'll talk to the man.

marcus, just an fyi, 1291 west of new ulm via 109, is a neat road, too.  it has a few curves.

We are about 20 miles from there as the crow flies. I will see if my other half would like to take a ride to Fayetteville on Sunday... Would be great to meet everyone...

If I don't have to work I'll try and make it. OBTW,  where is Orsak's?

If anyone from DFW wants to ride with me, I'll be leaving around 4:45am from home.  I'll stop in Hillsboro at the Mobil station on the frontage road at exit 368A (Whitney/Corsicana 22 exit) at 5:45am for about 10 minutes.  (This stop is not necessary for me but it is a good place to meet anyone coming from the 35E side of the metro area.)  The route is not fancy nor particularly interesting - down 35 to Waco, Hwy 6 to St Hwy 77, stop in Cameron for gas and stretching, to LaGrange and then 71/159 to Fayetteville.  I just need to ride somewhere - been cooped up in our Honda Fit for the last 2 weeks!!!

This is the way I'm planning to go.  http://goo.gl/maps/ExIGr

Options open on return trip.  I may head to Austin to visit my son Andy.  I might go to San Antonio.  I may ride like a bat from hell back home. I might join the circus. Just don't know yet.

I do not consider myself a ride leader for this trip - just an FYI for anyone who would like to ride along with me. Further, I may cancel at anytime if my kitchen pass is pulled.  I'll post a cancellation by late Saturday night if I must, but all indicators are green at this time.

I will be stopping at Buckees in Cypress to top off about 7 leave at 7:15 to go up to Hempstead and then take 159 out to Industry so I can make the back road ride on it. I had to look up 109 and 159 to find out where it was. I should be rolling into Industry on my black std about 8:30.

I had a great time today and look forward to next Saturday.
