This made me giggle just a little! I have to give Indian props, they arent being shy.....and they are calling Harley Davidson OUT.
If you havent heard about the new Indian motorcycle lineup, the "Thunderstroke 111 cubic inch" is supposed to be the new heart of their line.

Very cool commercial but... I might be interested when someone decides to start making non-V-Twinkies again...  :-\

You can guess where the target market is for Indian . . . not us.  Great piece of marketing  though.

I thought the same. They are definitely bringing their best game. The new Indian bike is due to be unveiled next month.

doesn't everybody use a q-tip to clean the fine chrome?

I've never seen a HD that dirty since I always see the HD guys polishing NOT riding the darn things.  My neighbor spends a whole day detailing his HD and the other down the road doesn't drive it much just parks it in front of his house apparently to show it off or something, never figured that one out.

Really nice bike, but too spendy for me.

The unique 1,650 V-4 engine produces 160 HP and 125 foot/pounds of torque in the MST model (expected to retail for $30,975), while the MSTR gets 180 HP and slightly lower peak torque (price unknown at this point).

Well, hopefully the new ones will be better than the last version.  I went on a Caribbean motorcycle cruise a few years ago and one guy had a new Indian and he had nothing but problems with the bike.  He was only able to get out on two of the four islands that we drove because the bike wouldn't start or it was running on one cylinder.  I felt sorry for the guy.  Not my type of bike though.  I agree with serk, I will be interested when it's not a V-twin.

Ya, MP.  I believe they are made by Polaris now.  The Victories have pretty good engines.  My cousin has a Cross Country and has never had any engine issues.

Polaris has taken over Indian. I tried to work a deal on one about a month ago. For those think Harley is over priced, check the MSRP on the Indian touring models. Make ya drop your beer.

Maybe theyll explore their heritage and build an inline 4 again . Seems like everyone talks about the old Indian 4 like it was legendary . My Grandfather rode 1 during WW2 . They bought the design from Schwinn who owned the rights from Excelsior Henderson .

The History Channel is going to do a show about the new Indian this Monday in prime time.  I think it's going to be on American Pickers.  I hope the show isn't just a bunch of Indian press release stuff and is truly objective.  From the photos and videos I've seen the engine looks really good.
As for the Motus, it sounds really good, but they lost me when I saw that it is chain drive.  I don't want to have to get down on my knees and lube a chain every day when I'm on a long trip.
Live to ride, ride to...uh, what was the question again?
