Interested in using a tire monitor system. I use ride on in the tires and like it, so think I would use the external (valve stem) monitors. Read in other sites about valve stem failures. Mine are 90 degree metal, of coarse rubber seals. Anybody have any trouble or ideas, experiences. Thanks

I've had the TireGard system for about a month or two and it works great.  It's the one with the little monitor that fits on a keychain and was around $130 shipped on ebay.

I have 2 of the Doran units and have no problems with either of them.  They come with new stems, 90 deg or straight and locks to use if you mount them on the outside of the rim.  You would have to mount them outside since you use Ride-On.

I  been using the tire guard TPMS on billet 45° stems.  Using them for 3 seasons no problems.

Had TireGuard for 2 summers. No problem with valve stems and works well. My problem is that the keyfob reader display stopped working this summer. Problem is obvious that it is the display since I can sort of read numbers if I "bend" or put pressure in different places on the display. If you get one the keyfob is not a keyfob, treat it gingerly.
