- A motorcyclist is dead after wrecking on "The Dragon" Saturday evening.

"The Dragon" is an area of Highway 129 often frequented by motorcyclists.

Blount County Sheriff's Department officials say they received reports of a crash near Mile Marker 9 on the road just after 7 p.m.

Officials say one man died from injuries sustained in the crash.

The investigation is ongoing.



I've seen alot of people that thought they were cool , but then again Lord I've seen alot of fools.

They said this is the first fatality on the Dragon this year.
