Thats nice. It nice to help folks. Many today don't seem to appreciate being helped though, still gotta do it though.


A little off subject, I still hold doors for people. Old habit I guess, just brought that way and still believe in such stuff. Double doors at the restaurant this AM and I held the door for a woman only to have her slam the 2nd door in my face. Just a mini-rant.

Good deed.  Though it didn't miss my attention he did it while his Go-Pro was filming the whole thing.  Does he do it w/o the camera running?  I mean, are good deeds done for credit really good deeds - or self-serving?

was on the highway yesterday, saw a cop changing a tire for a little girl.  I thought to myself that's not his job, but was really happy to see him doing it. 

I use to stop and help people as often as I could.  i'm old and selfish now......

I changed many a flat tire in my CHP days.

What pissed me off was the bastards that never bothered to say Thank You, like it was my job to do that.

I changed 3 tires for one party, told them if they didn't put new tires on this rig, the next time it will be impounded.

Never saw the vehicle again.

Jump starts, flat tires,  Just stopping to check and make sure everything is ok. I've done that since I started driving (probably get me robbed or killed one day).  Always refuse any type of monetary compensation. Just tell them to stop the next time they see me standing there.

Yep, I agree.   Had a similar experience last summer, saw a lady standing at the curb, she was moving to slow to make it before the light changed to don't cross and she'd back up to the curb again.   Watched her do that three times.   So, I decided I was gonna get her across that street even if it meant I had to stop traffic.

So, when the light changed, I just picked her up and sprinted across the street with her in my arms.   Of course she was surprised, I kind of expected that but just knew she'd be grateful. 


Turns out, she was not impressed and actually just using that light to step out enough into the street to see if her daughter was coming yet and she really didn't want to cross.      She was really ticked so, I picked her up and carried her back to where she was.  She didn't seem very appreciative the second time either.   It's really tough to read a woman's mind.    Everything would have been cool (I've been cussed before) but, as it turns out, my wife saw this and well, that's when the fight started.   

Ever had one of those days where things go from bad to worse?   I have.

I stop all the time.  Crotch rocket with a rear flat the other day on the 610 loop... heavy traffic, but moving fast.  Had to double back to check on him, but he had a friend on the way with a trailer.  The hole in the tire was a blow out, not just a nail that could be plugged.

Never pass up a biker broke down on the road, unless I am late or I see they are on the phone calling for help.

If I see someone on the side of the road in distress, I'll try to help them or at least offer my cell to get help on the way.

In regards to the first post video, the biker had a good attentive eye. I'm not sure I would have caught that the "subject" was stuck while just cruising by.
